MORE ABOUT ME

Alex Stopen (2).jpg

I started my foray into the games industry as a game programmer, before realizing that my talents were best served in production. To best aid my team's productivity I have expanded my skill set to best understand our team's processes and address any problems that arise during production.

ADAPTABLE SKILL SET

During the course of production, I have fulfilled many different roles, some of which I wasn't prepared for. I have stepped forward as QA lead, game tester, video editor, marketer, graphic designer, and public relations. Whatever need arose during development, I adapting my knowledge and quickly gained the skills required to overcome the challenge. For instance, on Gaze of the Abyss I made a banner to draw attention to our booth during a games festival.

A PASSION FOR GAMES

As a producer I have learned a lot from other designers, programmers, and artists. I've done my best to understand their workflow to accurately estimate sprint scope. I have also adapted this knowledge into my own personal project. Playing games and overseeing their development has given me ideas for new concepts. Recently, I've started work on a game of my own that is way too ambitious for my own good, but through coding my own algorithms, designing my own systems, and learning how to make assets in blender, I gain valuable knowledge about how other disciplines work.
